Is it recommended that I reserve a unit?
Availability of our storage units is constantly changing. Spring and summer we are very busy and some sizes may be hard to obtain. If we are limited on a size you want to reserve, you will need to pay for the unit starting from the day you reserve it.
Why is a tour of your facilities recommended?
Often times it is hard to determine without actually seeing a unit if it is the right size for your needs. In addition, our managers are committed to providing a clean, professional facility. They are more than happy to show you around and answer any of your questions.
What about insurance?
Our Albany and Corvallis locations provide brochures from Dean and Homer Insurance. Their company provides insurance on items that are stored in storage facilities. You may pick up a brochure at our office and deal with Dean and Homer Insurance directly. We do not have insurance on your possessions that are stored at our facility.
Can I use my own lock?
The round disk lock is difficult to cut with a bolt cutter or saw. This type of lock is considered one of the most secure locks available. They are recommended by most police departments and required by The Storage Depot. Because of our commitment to providing you peace of mind while storing your goods at our facility, this is the only type of lock we allow in our facility. You may purchase one at our office or use your own round disk lock.
How can I pay for my storage?
We accept cash, checks, money orders, VISA, Mastercard, Discover and debit cards. Payments may be made in person at our office, mailed to us, put through our drop slot or paid by phone with a VISA or Mastercard. We also offer automatic payment with a credit or debit card. We encourage automatic deduction of your rent from your checking account, or ACH. Please ask our managers about this convenient option.
How secure will my possessions be?
Our facilities have state of the art computerized gate systems that monitor activity on site. In addition, our sites are surrounded by fencing and are well lighted. We utilize video cameras and monitors. Our managers do regular site checks. Each manager lives on site.
How long will it take to rent a unit?
There are a few forms to fill out and sign and this takes approximately 10 - 30 minutes. Allow more time if you want to look at our facility and units. If our office is very busy your patience is greatly appreciated.
We value new customers and make every effort to rent you a unit as quickly as possible. Our busiest days are Monday and Friday at the beginning of the month. The 10th of any month is very busy. Please allow more time if you come to rent a unit at these times.
